Trailhead, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering inclusive community living, is embarking on an ambitious project – a four-story, multi-family building in Littleton that welcomes adults with Developmental Disabilities, active seniors, and members of the general population. This project is not just about creating living spaces; it’s about building an extraordinary community where everyone can thrive.
In this groundbreaking endeavor, Layer 10 is joining forces with notable names like KGA Architecture, Point Consulting, and K2 Residential Solutions, the project’s contractor, to bring this vision to life. Our role in this collaborative effort is crucial – we are leading the charge in designing and implementing state-of-the-art technology solutions that will define the living experience in this diverse community.
The building’s design, underpinned by the principles of “Universal Design,” focuses on promoting independence and ensuring safety for all residents. Layer 10’s technology design is seamlessly integrated into this framework, ensuring that the latest innovations in smart home technology and safety features are accessible to all residents, enhancing their daily lives and offering peace of mind.
One of the most exciting aspects of this project is the cooperative management model. This approach empowers residents from all three tenant groups to actively participate in decision-making processes, shaping how their community functions and evolves. Layer 10’s technology solutions will support this model, providing platforms and systems that facilitate collaboration and community engagement.
