Layer 10 Announces Strategic Restructuring, Launching Kaige Technology Solutions
Denver, CO – 8/1/24 – Layer 10, a leader in seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology into the built environment, is excited to announce a significant restructuring aimed at enhancing service delivery and client satisfaction. Founded in 2016 by Ken Wilkinson and Josh Herald, Layer 10 has successfully completed dozens of client projects across 10 states and the UK, delivering innovative solutions that optimize functionality and user experience in various built environments.
With a unique design-first, human-centric, product-agnostic approach, Layer 10 has earned a reputation for transforming spaces across a diverse range of build types, including office, hospitality, multifamily, and more. Our journey began with DaVita’s ‘Tower 2’ office at Union Station, setting the stage for our unique approach to technology integration. Introducing Kaige Technology Solutions
We are thrilled to announce the launch of Kaige Technology Solutions, a new venture dedicated to providing specialized technology implementation and managed services. Kaige will focus on delivering end-to-end solutions, including development, implementation, and ongoing support of clients’ critical technology systems. Led by Josh Herald, a founding member of Layer 10 with extensive industry experience, Kaige is committed to ensuring seamless integration and long-term reliability for each project, helping clients achieve optimal performance and functionality in their spaces.

From a client perspective, little will change. Layer 10 will continue to excel in strategic design and consulting services, acting as the technology architect to ensure our clients’ visions are effectively translated into actionable plans. Layer 10’s role will involve guiding projects from conception through to detailed design, leveraging our expertise to align technology solutions with the overall project goals. Meanwhile, Kaige Technology Solutions will handle the implementation and managed services aspects, effectively acting as the technology general contractor. Kaige will be responsible for executing the technology strategies we developed at Layer 10, ensuring seamless integration and providing ongoing support to maintain system performance. This partnership ensures that as projects transition from design through build and onto support, clients can expect the same level of excellence and continuity that Layer 10 has always delivered. By splitting these roles across our partnership, we continue to provide comprehensive, end-to-end technology solutions that enhance the functionality and user experience of every space.
